About the role#
This internship provides an inside look at how water resource projects move from initial concepts to construction plans. You will work with the Water Resources team to support engineers and designers on projects involving stormwater management, flood control, and watershed planning.
What you'll do#
- Use AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro to assist project teams.
- Prepare project production sheets, including dimension and layout plans, title and detail sheets, and quantity estimates.
- Contribute to project plan sets and visit active project sites.
- Help with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for stormwater and flood control systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an associate degree in computer-aided design drafting.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
