Compliance Student

About the role#

The Compliance Student will support the Ethics & Compliance team by assisting with risk assessments, policy reviews, and various governance tasks. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to monitor compliance activities and regulatory audit issues, as well as developing remediation plans. You will gain exposure to compliance risks and trends across digital, lottery, and land-based gaming sectors.

What you'll do#

• Update procedures and assist with compliance-related tasks, including risk assessments and policy reviews.
• Prepare compliance reports and build reporting dashboards using Excel or Python.
• Support testing and monitoring activities across diverse business areas.
• Create and improve process maps and documentation for compliance workflows.
• Attend team meetings to learn about compliance risks and trends and assist with tracking compliance issues.
• Automate processes and run reports from data systems to improve reporting efficiency.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with a focus in Business, Analytics, Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use critical thinking for effective decision-making.
• Working knowledge or experience with tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Locations: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario or Toronto, Ontario.
• Modality: Fully on-site.
• Term: Fall 2026 (September – December 2026).
• Employment Type: Full-time student position.
