About the role#
The Technology Services & Security Intern supports the Oklahoma State University Foundation by maintaining equipment and technology. You will help staff manage their tools to effectively cultivate philanthropic support. This is a part-time, paid position based in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the ticket queue and respond to general support requests.
- Provide hands-on support for hardware and software issues.
- Perform routine updates to operating systems and software.
- Assist with hardware setup, relocation, and decommissioning of computers and peripherals.
- Install and maintain printers.
- Create and update user guides, FAQs, and internal documentation.
- Document processes and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program with an emphasis in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent bachelor’s degree program.
- Academic or practical experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
- Basic understanding of PC hardware repair.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
- Aptitude for critical thinking, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and a cooperative attitude.
- A valid driver's license.
- Experience with Apple products is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is located on-site in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
- The position is part-time with a rolling term.
- You may need to lift or move materials up to 20 pounds, occasionally more.
- The role requires local travel and occasional availability during evenings, weekends, or on-call hours for system maintenance.
