About the role#
The Sales Internship Program at Oakes Auto Inc. is a hands-on rotation that provides experience across three core dealership functions: Sales, Finance and Insurance, and Sales Management. You will work alongside dealership leaders and team members to develop communication, leadership, and operational skills in a retail automotive environment. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with customer communication, vehicle presentations, test drives, and deliveries.
- Learn dealership CRM systems and customer follow-up processes.
- Assist with organizing deal paperwork and funding processes.
- Shadow leadership during customer interactions and coaching conversations.
- Maintain performance boards, sales logs, and follow-up processes.
- Support inventory merchandising through photos, videos, and lot organization.
- Participate in dealership meetings and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current college student or recent graduate with a focus in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Consistent attendance and reliability.
- Professionalism and a strong work ethic.
