The Global Industrial Engineering team is seeking an intern to support the development and application of simulation models for capacity analysis and process optimization within semiconductor manufacturing. You will work alongside engineers to model real-world manufacturing systems, evaluate tool performance, and identify system bottlenecks. This role focuses on using data-driven analysis to quantify the impact of process and configuration changes to support capacity improvement decisions.
What you'll do#
- Develop and apply simulation models for capacity analysis and process optimization.
- Evaluate semiconductor manufacturing tool performance to identify system bottlenecks.
- Quantify the impact of process and configuration changes through data-driven analysis.
- Collaborate with Global IE engineers to model real-world manufacturing systems.
- Support data-backed capacity improvement decisions.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or masters student in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience in programming and data analysis using Python, R, Julia, or similar languages.
- Strong analytical thinking and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences using visuals.
- Discrete-event simulation knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize work, and work collaboratively.
