About the role#
As a Digital Physical Design (P&R) Intern, you will work alongside an experienced team to support backend design processes. This role focuses on optimizing digital flows and experimenting with RTL implementations to achieve high-quality results.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply existing flows, tools, and scripts for the digital backend process from synthesis to GDS2.
- Support multiple parallel runs to test different RTL implementations and tool configurations.
- Analyze tool performance to identify the most area-optimal solutions.
- Review Cadence tool documentation and user resources to suggest improvements for current workflows and scripts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Coursework relevant to digital design, RTL, and digital backend flows.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Prior experience with backend design flows is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Chandler, Arizona.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Phoenix Metro area.
- The role requires a minimum of three full-day sessions per week at the Chandler office.
