Digital Verification Engineer Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a Digital Verification Engineer Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time, on-site position in Austin, Texas, provides an opportunity to contribute to verification activities for embedded applications while working alongside experienced design and methodology teams.

What you'll do#

• Develop test scenarios, run simulations, and analyze results under team guidance.
• Assist with debugging design issues, maintaining test environments, and improving verification coverage.
• Collaborate with design and methodology teams to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare reports and documentation summarizing findings, project status, and next steps.
• Contribute to design quality and the continuous improvement of verification practices.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with role-related engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly in English.
• Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus.

• Location: Austin, Texas (Oakhill office).
• Work Term: Fall 2026 (August/September – December).
• Modality: On-site, full-time.
