About the role#
Nuro is seeking a creative and digitally fluent Social Media Intern to help grow our presence across social platforms. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong creative taste, design instincts, and the ability to make complex ideas clear and engaging. You will help create and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X. You will also support community management, social listening, executive social, creator outreach, and performance reporting.
What you'll do#
- Develop and publish social-first content that brings Nuro’s mission, technology, and people to life.
- Translate technical concepts and company news into clear, platform-native formats like short-form video, carousels, and graphics.
- Write copy and captions tailored to different audiences.
- Develop timely content inspired by relevant trends and online conversations.
- Create content that follows brand guidelines while maintaining a consistent and authentic voice.
- Support content development for co-founders and co-CEOs.
- Monitor comments and mentions, responding to community questions in a timely and thoughtful manner.
- Track audience feedback and social performance metrics to inform future creative decisions.
- Research relevant creators and influencers, assisting with outreach and collaborations.
- Organize content calendars, manage publishing schedules, and coordinate internal reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a program in marketing, communications, journalism, media, business, or design.
- 1-2 years of experience creating social content through internships, student organizations, personal projects, or creator accounts.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Ability to adapt voice and format for different platforms.
- Strong design instincts and experience with tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Express, or Canva.
- Familiarity with video production, photography, or motion graphics.
- Understanding of social trends, platform conventions, and emerging formats.
- Comfort using social analytics and performance data.
- Strong organization and attention to detail when managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- A portfolio or examples of relevant social, video, writing, or design work.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mountain View, California.
- The position is paid.
- This is a three-month internship with the potential to extend based on performance and business needs.
