About the role#
Nox Group is hiring Field Engineer Interns for a 12-week program during Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Harlingen, Texas, supporting construction projects alongside project managers and engineers. This role offers exposure to the full project life cycle, including rotations through preconstruction, estimating, industrial, and manufacturing work.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with project engineers and field superintendents to support daily field operations.
- Perform survey and layout work to ensure accurate installations.
- Create lift drawings for the placement of materials and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and participate in quality control programs.
- Attend daily and weekly project meetings.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
- Report field issues to leadership for resolution.
- Track and report quantities of installed materials and equipment.
- Manage the storage and maintenance of on-site equipment and materials.
- Maintain record drawings and as-builts.
- Oversee permit documents, including dust control and stormwater pollution prevention.
- Document progress through weekly project photos.
- Build professional relationships with owners, clients, engineers, and trade partners.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
- Ability to assume responsibility and communicate effectively with team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A positive and teachable attitude.

- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
- Note: This is a safety-sensitive position that may require physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and working in various outdoor conditions.
