About the role#
Nox Group is hiring Field Engineer Interns for a 12-week program during Summer 2027. You will work alongside project managers and engineers to support construction projects. This role involves rotating through areas such as preconstruction, estimating, industrial, and manufacturing work. You will apply classroom knowledge to real-world tasks and gain experience across the full project life cycle.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with project engineers and field superintendents to support daily operations.
- Perform survey and layout work to guide the placement of materials.
- Participate in quality control programs and conduct site inspections.
- Attend project meetings to track progress and coordinate activities.
- Manage contract documents, drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
- Report field issues to leadership to help resolve problems.
- Track and report installed material and equipment quantities weekly.
- Oversee the storage and maintenance of on-site equipment and materials.
- Maintain record drawings, as-builts, and permit documentation.
- Take weekly project progress photos.
- Build rapport with stakeholders while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Assist with training and mentoring team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering degree program.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact with diverse project teams.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A positive and teachable attitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, and climbing.
