Virtual Care Internship

About the role#

This internship focuses on administrative support for research and review projects related to hospital policies, procedures, and department operations. The Virtual Care department manages various health information technology initiatives, including Telehealth, Remote Patient Monitoring, and EPIC implementation.

What you'll do#

• Collect and prepare data relevant to departmental work.
• Assist in studies to evaluate the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of hospital operations, policies, and procedures.
• Support management in the facilitation of new programs and procedures.
• Perform related administrative tasks as required.

What you'll need#

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a Bachelor’s program, or enrollment in a graduate program.
• Preferred majors include Healthcare Management, Health Administration, Business Administration, MBA, Finance, or IT.
• Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

• Location: Lake Success, New York.
• Term: Summer 2026 (June through August).
• Work Modality: Hybrid.
• Schedule: Full-time.
• Note: This is an unpaid internship, and no stipend is provided for travel, lodging, or meal expenses.
