About the role#
The Clinical Engineering department maintains, services, and supports medical devices to ensure a safe environment of care. This internship involves performing administrative staff work to support research and review projects that focus on hospital policies, procedures, and department operations.
What you'll do#
- Collect and prepare data relevant to department functions.
- Assist in studies to evaluate the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of hospital operations, policies, and procedures.
- Support management in the facilitation of new programs and procedures.
- Perform related administrative duties as required.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or graduate-level program majoring in clinical engineering.
- Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Success, New York.
- Term: Summer 2026 (June 2026 through August 2026).
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Note: This is an unpaid internship, and no stipend is provided for lodging, travel, or meal expenses.
