Staten Island Executive Healthcare Internship

About the role#

The Executive Healthcare Internship is a full-time, summer program designed to provide insight into project management and hospital operations. Interns work directly with a department to support research and review projects, focusing on hospital policies, procedures, and overall operations.

What you'll do#

• Collect and prepare data relevant to departmental work.
• Assist in studies to evaluate the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of hospital operations and policies.
• Support management in the facilitation of new programs and procedures.
• Perform related administrative duties as required.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment as an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior in Business Administration, Finance, Communications, Biology, or a related field.
• Residency in or strong ties to the Staten Island community.
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
• Preferred: Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting.
• Preferred: Strong written and verbal communication, planning, organizational, and presentation skills.

• Modality: On-site, full-time.
• Compensation: This is a paid internship. Note that no stipend is provided for lodging, travel, or meals.
