About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to learn about project management and hospital operations. Interns work within a specific department throughout the summer to support research and review projects, focusing on hospital policies, procedures, and general operations.
What you'll do#
- Collect and prepare data relevant to departmental work.
- Assist in studies to evaluate the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of hospital operations, policies, and procedures.
- Support management in the facilitation of new programs and procedures.
- Perform related administrative duties as required.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior in Business, Economics, Finance, Pre-med, Biology, Communications, or a related field.
- Residency in or strong ties to the Staten Island community.
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office tools and prior administrative experience in a hospital setting.
- Preferred: Strong written, verbal, communication, planning, organizational, and presentation skills, along with data entry experience.
