About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern at VIVOHealth, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist to support clinical and administrative pharmacy operations. This role involves assisting with medication preparation, inventory management, and providing drug information to healthcare staff and patients.

What you'll do#

• Prepare medications for inpatient orders and outpatient prescriptions, including labeling and compounding sterile applications.
• Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and patients.
• Conduct medication room inspections, remove outdated or recalled drugs, and ensure unused medications are returned to the pharmacy.
• Manage inventory by replenishing floor stock, verifying invoices against shipments, and storing drugs appropriately.
• Maintain control records for manufactured items and prepare reports for the pharmacist.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current permit to practice as a Pharmacy Intern in New York State.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
