This internship supports the Health Home program, a Medicaid care management initiative, alongside additional Medicaid projects within Behavioral Health, Pediatric, and Maternal Health service lines. You will perform administrative staff work to support research and review projects focused on hospital policies, procedures, and departmental operations.
What you'll do#
- Collect and prepare data relevant to departmental work.
- Assist in studies to evaluate the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of hospital operations, policies, and procedures.
- Support management in the facilitation of new programs and procedures.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in business, population health, community health, or health sciences.
- Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Success, New York.
- Term: Summer 2026 (June 2026 through July 2026).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. No stipend is provided for lodging, travel, or meals.
