About the role#
The Community Health Internship supports the Institute for Community Health and Wellness in developing and executing public health strategies, community relations, and strategic partnerships. This role involves performing administrative staff work to support research and review projects focused on hospital policies, procedures, and departmental operations.
What you'll do#
- Collect and prepare data relevant to departmental projects.
- Assist in studies to evaluate the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of hospital operations and policies.
- Support management in the facilitation of new programs and procedures.
- Perform additional administrative duties as required.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or graduate-level program in Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field.
- Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote (based out of Lake Success/Melville, New York).
- Term: Summer 2026 (June 2026 through August 2026).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Note: This is an unpaid internship position.
