About the role#
This administrative internship within the Family Medicine service line supports research and review projects centered on hospital policies, procedures, and department operations. You will collaborate with senior professionals and management to assist with various compensation projects and initiatives. The service line manages clinical care, operations, strategy, education, and research for over 500 family physicians across ambulatory and inpatient settings.
What you'll do#
- Collect and prepare data relevant to departmental work.
- Support studies to evaluate the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of hospital operations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist management in the facilitation of new programs and procedures.
- Perform additional related administrative duties as required.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate student in Public Health, Health Sciences, Community Health, Healthcare Management, or Psychology.
- Preferred qualifications include prior administrative or general experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Preferred skills include strong written and verbal communication, planning, organization, presentation, data entry, and creative design.
