About the role#
As an SUDP-T Counselor Intern at Northpoint Seattle, you will work under the direction of the counseling staff and clinical leadership to gain practical skills in behavioral healthcare. This role focuses on supporting patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. You will participate in a multidisciplinary team environment while completing your required hours for licensure.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate education and process groups under the direction of counseling staff.
- Complete biopsychosocial histories and treatment plans under clinical supervision.
- Engage in individual and family counseling sessions.
- Assist with patient interventions and retention efforts.
- Manage documentation in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and quality assurance activities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of relevant licensure in the state of Washington.
- At least one year of experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to work with a diverse patient population.
- Strong personal boundaries and the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Commitment to the ethical standards of your respective licensure governing board.
- Minimum age of 21.
