About the role#
The Marketing Coordinator Intern supports North Wind’s marketing and business development efforts. You will assist with the preparation of marketing materials, digital content, market research, campaign analysis, and event coordination. This role offers experience in marketing communications, competitive analysis, customer engagement, and strategic marketing within the aerospace and engineering industry.
What you'll do#
- Prepare presentations, proposals, sales materials, and other marketing collateral.
- Support the development and maintenance of marketing content, including website updates, social media posts, and promotional materials.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and market opportunities.
- Collect and analyze marketing metrics to evaluate campaign performance.
- Support the development of marketing campaigns for specific customer groups.
- Coordinate marketing events, trade shows, conferences, seminars, and promotional activities.
- Assist with public relations, internal and external communications, and community outreach.
- Maintain customer and prospect information in CRM systems.
- Monitor competitor websites, public relations, and advertising campaigns.
- Manage marketing calendars, trade show lists, and event logistics.
- Collaborate with team members on proposals, projects, and departmental initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, digital marketing, or website content management.
- Exposure to CRM systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with presentations, promotional materials, or research projects.
- Interest in the aerospace, engineering, or technology industries.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- Locations: Newport News, VA; Arlington, VA; or St Paul, MN.
- The term is rolling.
