About the role#
We are looking for an MBA-level Business Development & Strategy Intern to own a merchant-acquisition initiative from start to finish. You will handle everything from market research and territory selection to self-sourced outreach and final strategy recommendations. This is a hands-on role where you are measured on real business outcomes like partners signed and pipeline growth.
What you'll do#
- Perform market and territory research to identify local service-provider landscapes.
- Execute self-sourced outreach via phone, email, in-person visits, and social media.
- Build and maintain a partnership pipeline in a CRM or spreadsheet.
- Analyze conversion data to identify outreach effectiveness.
- Develop and present a final go-forward strategy for merchant acquisition.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MBA or equivalent graduate business program.
- Prior experience in consulting, sales, business development, or a startup.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and rejection.
Location & details#
- This is a remote, paid internship.
- The term is rolling with a duration of 3 to 6 months.
- Time commitment is 20 to 40 hours per week.
