About the role#
As a Research & Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting product innovation, development, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be part of our 12-week, full-time Summer 2027 program. Each intern leads a CAMP project from start to finish, culminating in a presentation to a leadership panel. This is a paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Support product development, innovation, and research projects.
- Assist with product design, testing, prototyping, and evaluation activities.
- Conduct research, data analysis, and competitive assessments to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve products, processes, and technologies.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and presentation of project findings and recommendations.
- Support efforts to enhance product performance, quality, cost, and overall consumer experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Packaging, Product Development, or a related technical field.
- Completed Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year of undergraduate studies.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated interest in product innovation, research, design, or technical problem-solving.
- Proven record of problem-solving, decision making, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to balance multiple assignments.
- Previous internship or work experience is preferred, as is a record of leadership.

- Locations: Huntersville, North Carolina; Maryville, Tennessee; South Deerfield, Massachusetts; Mogadore, Ohio.
- Duration: May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- Commitment: 40 hours per week.
