About the role#
We are looking for a Quantitative Summer Intern to join our team in New York. This 12-week internship provides exposure to our Institutional Solutions and Risk businesses through two six-week rotations. You will work on quantitative research, portfolio analysis, and financial modeling to support our investment strategies.
What you'll do#
- Conduct generalist quantitative research using market knowledge and intuition.
- Solve portfolio management problems autonomously while working with team members.
- Translate academic and buy-side research into actionable investment theses.
- Develop quantitative financial models for asset allocation and security selection.
- Perform portfolio optimization, performance attribution, and risk analysis.
- Build models to back test investment strategies.
- Monitor academic finance research and present your findings to the team.
- Prepare presentation materials.
- Assist with daily tasks including cash management and risk reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's program in Financial Mathematics or a related quantitative field, or an undergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a STEM field.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Strong grounding in statistics, econometrics, and applied mathematics.
- Knowledge of fixed income and equity markets.
- Programming experience, with preference for Python, R, and SQL.
- A clear interest in investing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
