About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at either the Columbus General Office or the York Operations Center. You will report to the Procurement Supervisor and provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the District.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the procurement of materials and services to meet business unit needs.
- Coordinate with internal customers to ensure procurements meet existing specifications.
- Research and incorporate requirements into new procurement documents.
- Conduct purchasing activities in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and commitments.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and key suppliers.
- Calculate, post business transactions, and process invoices.
- Verify financial data and maintain accounts payable records.
- Resolve invoice questions regarding PO numbers, vendors, and sales tax with the support of a Buyer or Specialist.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Current standing as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior.
- A minimum course load of 12 semester units or 8 quarter units.
- A major in accounting, business administration, finance, or supply chain management.
- Preference is given to students with junior or senior status.
- Students in associate programs may be considered if they provide proof of a plan to pursue a bachelor's degree.

- Travel: Up to 25% within Nebraska, typically with minimal overnight stays.
