About the role#
The Human Resources Intern provides project support to the HR team while gaining hands-on experience across multiple functions. You will gain exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, training, and records management. This is a part-time role with a maximum of 30 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate safety as a core value and maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with recruitment tasks, such as posting job openings and scheduling interviews.
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing materials and coordinating orientation schedules.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR Information Systems.
- Help coordinate employee engagement programs and company events.
- Assist with training activities and compliance audits of personnel files.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other HR documents.
- Respond to day-to-day employee inquiries.
- Support policy updates and light open enrollment activities.
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, and document management.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field with at least sophomore standing.
- Strong organization, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Diligent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn multiple areas of HR.
- Ability to build professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
- At least one year of progressive work or leadership experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with data reporting and Excel is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADP or other HRIS systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with employment law and compliance is preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Mandarin or Spanish are a plus.
