Purchasing Co-op

About the role#

Multimatic is seeking a Purchasing Co-op to join the team in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for students currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program.

What you'll do#

• Conduct segment research to identify potential suppliers, analyze industry trends, and assess market dynamics.
• Evaluate pricing models, total cost of ownership, and value propositions to determine cost-effective solutions.
• Use quantitative and qualitative data to develop purchasing strategies that improve efficiency and achieve cost savings.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization through benchmarking and data analysis.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders and the supply base.
• Prepare reports and communications regarding purchasing outcomes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and ERP systems.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality.

• Location: East Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $17.60 - $25.48 per hour.
