About the role#
The Mechanical Administrator Intern supports mechanical operations across active projects. You will provide administrative, reporting, and documentation support while gaining exposure to mechanical office and field workflows. This role involves working alongside team members and field leadership to maintain project information and contribute to operational initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, maintain, and organize Mechanical reports, trackers, logs, and spreadsheets.
- Support field leadership with administrative tasks related to active projects.
- Coordinate schedules, follow-up on action items, and facilitate communication for field teams.
- Enter, organize, and validate project data within designated systems.
- Participate in site visits to observe Mechanical operations and understand jobsite workflows.
- Assist with special projects, training efforts, and process-improvement activities.
- Communicate with office personnel, field leadership, and project teams to gather information and distribute updates.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets and reports.
- Mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Interest in mechanical construction, field operations, and process improvement.
- Exposure to construction project workflows or project management systems is a plus.
