About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in internal auditing and public accounting. You will join the Risk Advisory team in Atlanta for the summer of 2028. You will work alongside partners, directors, and managers on engagements for public and private company clients.
What you'll do#
- Provide SOX, internal audit, and internal control services.
- Perform examinations of controls at service organizations (SOC).
- Develop an understanding of client businesses, systems, and processes.
- Interact directly with clients and build professional relationships.
- Assist with business development by participating in sales meetings and proposal preparation.
- Identify client issues, propose solutions to managers, and meet engagement budget goals.
- Pursue technical skill improvement through on-the-job training and personal commitment.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technology field.
- Up to two years of experience in risk advisory, internal or external audit, and internal controls.
- Previous Sarbanes-Oxley experience in a professional services environment or internship.
- Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Information Technology General Controls.
- Progress toward a CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, or CITP license is highly preferred.
- A consultative approach with a focus on client service.
- Self-directed, ambitious, and proactive communication skills.

- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Term: Summer 2028 (June through August).
- Modality: On-site.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel as needed, generally less than 15 percent.
- Status: Full-time internship.
