About the role#
MNP is hiring a Summer Student for our Agronomy Services team for the 2027 summer season, running from May 3 to August 27. You will spend your time in the field learning applied Precision Agronomy. You will work alongside an experienced Agronomist to gather information from the field, though you will not provide recommendations to customers directly.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field scouting visits to monitor plant stand establishment, herbicide timing, and insect or disease management.
- Perform plant stand counts and variable rate crop assessments.
- Collect data and conduct analysis for research trials.
- Help organize and participate in crop tours.
- Attend industry agronomy and product tours throughout the summer.
- Work independently while contributing to a broader team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, preferably in Agriculture.
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Ability to work in an outdoor setting and handle overtime during peak season.
- Strong communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- Locations include Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan; Brandon, Manitoba; and Red Deer, Alberta.
- Work is on-site.
