About the role#
Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories is looking for a Ph.D. intern to join our research team in Cambridge. This role focuses on robotic disassembly, specifically working on dexterous manipulation and robot perception. The position is full-time and on-site, with a rolling start date and flexible duration. What you'll do#
- Develop learning-based methods for dexterous manipulation and sim-to-real deployment.
- Create and implement new algorithms for robotic tasks.
- Run experiments on our robotic platforms.
- Publish your research findings at top-tier robotics and AI conferences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Ph.D. program.
- Research experience in robot learning, manipulation, and perception.
- Experience with robot simulation and sim-to-real transfer, specifically using Isaac Lab, MuJoCo, or Genesis.
- Strong programming skills in Python or C++.
- Demonstrated research potential and a track record of publications in robotics, computer vision, or machine learning.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- The pay range is 6,000 to 8,000 dollars per month.
- Interns receive a relocation stipend, covered travel expenses, and a monthly Charlie Card for commuting.
- Health insurance is available after a 90-day waiting period.
- Employment requires full authorization to work in the United States.
