About the role#
Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories is looking for an intern to assist with the mathematical modeling of manufacturing processes. This is a full-time, paid position based in our Cambridge office. The internship lasts 3 to 4 months with a flexible start date.
What you'll do#
Your primary focus will be the mathematical modeling of manufacturing processes. You will use various simulation methods to support our research objectives.
What you'll need#
- A strong background in process modeling using Petri nets.
- Experience with process simulation.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience programming for embedded Linux environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: 6,000 to 8,000 dollars per month.
- Benefits: Relocation stipend, travel coverage, monthly transit pass, and health insurance eligibility after 90 days.
