About the role#
We are looking for a graduate student to join our team to work on numerical solvers. You will focus on systems built from learned dynamical components. The work addresses numerical challenges that occur when neural network models connect through physical constraints and feedback to form large-scale ODE or DAE systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop scalable numerical solvers for systems of learned dynamical components.
- Create numerical methods that improve solver robustness.
- Increase simulation speed for large-scale systems.
What you'll need#
- You are a senior PhD student in applied mathematics, scientific computing, computational engineering, or a related field.
- A strong foundation in numerical analysis and scientific computing.
- A background in machine learning and data-driven methods.
- Programming skills in Python, Julia, C, C++, or Matlab.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- The internship lasts 3 months with a flexible start date.
- We provide sponsorship for qualified candidates.
- This is a paid position with a monthly salary between 6,000 and 8,000 dollars.
- Benefits include a relocation stipend, travel coverage, a monthly Charlie Card, and health insurance eligibility after a 90-day waiting period.
