About the role#
The Mississippi Mud Monsters are looking for a creative student to join our team for a seasonal internship during the fall and winter. You will work inside the day-to-day operations of a professional baseball team during the offseason. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, event production, and design. You will help bring our events and future baseball season to life through visual projects.
What you'll do#
- Design graphics for social media, email, websites, advertising, and signage.
- Create assets for Southern Lights, including digital graphics and on-site event visuals.
- Assist with video board graphics and visual elements for special events.
- Prepare marketing materials and creative projects for the upcoming baseball season.
- Develop billboard creative and advertising campaigns.
- Organize and maintain graphic assets, brand materials, and templates.
- Support live event production during Southern Lights and other ballpark activities.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams on community initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Graphic design experience and strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, preferably junior level or above.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the internship.
- Availability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays, especially during Southern Lights.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- High motivation, a strong work ethic, and a passion for sports and entertainment.
- Video editing or motion graphics experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi.
- The term covers the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 seasons.
- This is a paid position. Compensation includes $750 per month, plus $8 per hour for hours worked during evening Southern Lights events.
