About the role#
The Safety Coordinator Co-op supports the Miller Valentine Safety Department and EHS Program Manager. You will coordinate safety processes, maintain records, and assist with program initiatives. This role helps the team stay organized and consistent across projects and recurring safety activities.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Safety Department.
- Coordinate department schedules for training, site visits, and safety meetings.
- Assist with the planning and execution of safety programs and events.
- Develop and distribute safety communications, including learning bulletins and meeting materials.
- Maintain safety records, document libraries, and jobsite safety binders.
- Manage safety-related tracking systems, databases, and company workflows.
- Coordinate logistical aspects of safety initiatives, such as PPE and boot voucher tracking.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to support process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to track multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in administrative, safety, or construction support roles is preferred.
- Experience with Procore is preferred.
- An interest in construction safety and continuous improvement.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- The role follows a rolling term schedule.
