About the role#
As a Process Technician intern, you will support wafer manufacturing operations. You will monitor processes, review data, and partner with engineering and production teams to improve yield, quality, and efficiency. This position involves alternating between a Remote Operations Center and cleanroom Fab environments. You will work 12-hour shifts.
What you'll do#
- Complete all required safety training and work safely in environments including uneven terrain and confined spaces.
- Respond to potential hazards to prevent accidents.
- Manage semiconductor tools and conduct technical evaluations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to optimize wafer fabrication processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance workstations and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Analyze data to support process improvements and prepare data visualizations.
- Set up and monitor processing tools while guiding operators.
- Manage up to 25 online manufacturing systems.
- Conduct technical experiments and process test runs.
- Use AI tools to identify efficiency gains related to safety, quality, and tactical work.
- Communicate clearly and manage your time effectively while following procedures with minimal supervision.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate degree in a STEM field or a Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge of Thermodynamics and completed coursework in Statistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
- Physical capability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift, walk 1-5 miles, and work in confined spaces or while crouching and kneeling.
- Comfort wearing cleanroom garments and occasional PPE.
- Willingness to relocate to Boise, Idaho.
