About the role#
As a Procurement Cost Analyst Intern, you will support procurement initiatives that improve decision-making across construction and capital project categories. You will gain hands-on experience in cost analysis, should-cost modeling, market intelligence, benchmarking, and AI-enabled process improvements while partnering with global procurement and business teams.
What you'll do#
- Support cost analysis and should-cost modeling for construction, facilities, tool installation, and equipment procurement.
- Gather and summarize market intelligence, pricing data, and industry trends to support procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with Category Managers and Program Managers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with procurement analytics, reporting, and initiatives that improve operational efficiency.
- Use AI tools to support data analysis, process automation, and benchmarking.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Expected graduation date of September 2027 or later.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience through internships, projects, or coursework in procurement, engineering, or supply chain.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical and financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and AI-enabled tools like Copilot or Claude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or coursework in cost estimation, sourcing, or industrial infrastructure is a plus.
