About the role#
As an intern in the CMP Process Group, you will work with engineers and scientists to develop and optimize processes for future semiconductor technology nodes. You will support projects focused on process capability and productivity through experimentation, data analysis, and characterization. This role involves using AI-enabled tools to assist with research outcomes and process development.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and evaluate CMP processes, chemistries, and hardware platforms.
- Conduct fundamental research, process characterization, and data analysis to support development activities.
- Assist with projects focused on improving process capability, productivity, and surface characterization.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools to analyze experimental data and improve workflow efficiency.
- Prepare and present technical reports, experimental results, and recommendations to research teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related STEM field, with an expected graduation date after September 2027.
- Demonstrated academic or research experience in a STEM field.
- Working knowledge of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, surface chemistry, electrochemistry, or materials science.
- Experience creating technical presentations, reports, and research documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
