About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern in our ID1 facility, you will help optimize area performance and reduce cycle times. You will work alongside process, equipment, and industrial engineering teams to keep product moving and address quality issues. This role involves using manufacturing science to solve problems and integrating artificial intelligence into existing workflows.
What you'll do#
- Complete all safety training and follow site policies.
- Analyze workstation performance and resolve issues with stakeholders.
- Track data to identify trends and find solutions for area concerns.
- Optimize queue times to reduce cycle time and breaches.
- Manage redundancy options for constraint workstations.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to meet scope and schedule requirements.
- Create and update documentation for tools and procedures.
- Collaborate with equipment and process owners to resolve setup issues.
- Perform user acceptance testing on new systems and provide feedback.
- Lead efforts to improve execution toward key performance indicators.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program, with a graduation date no earlier than September 2026.
- Understanding of Fab process areas and equipment.
- Knowledge of SPC principles and process quality control systems.
- Experience with data analytics, including database querying.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled data analytics.
- Skills in scripting, programming, or visualization tools like Python, Java, Tableau, or Matlab.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and identify root causes.
- Strong communication skills for presenting findings.
