About the role#
This is a hands-on equipment engineering role based in the fabrication facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve manufacturing equipment while working alongside process team members and area engineers. Your work involves supervising tool performance, scheduling preventative maintenance, and using mechanical and software skills to repair equipment issues. You will also assist with equipment installations and engineering tests.
What you'll do#
- Safely identify and handle chemicals and associated hazards in the work area.
- Recognize and respond to safety alarms and events.
- Drive improvements in area and shift KPIs.
- Foster a culture of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) through ownership of metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Equipment Owners, Shift Engineers, and Technicians to resolve issues related to yield loss, defects, or tool restrictions.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and structured problem-solving methodologies to minimize downtime.
- Develop and update procedures, training materials, and assessor checklists.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering degree program.
- Expected graduation date no earlier than September 2026.
- Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, electricity fundamentals, and electronic components.
- Understanding of mechanical, vacuum, gas delivery, and electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret schematic diagrams for issue resolution.
- Experience with programming and data analysis tools such as Python, Java, Tableau, MATLAB, or Microsoft Office.
