About the role#
This is a hands-on equipment engineering role based in our fabrication facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment performance while working alongside process teams and area engineers. This position involves direct work with tool sets, requiring you to spend significant time in the cleanroom environment.
What you'll do#
- Monitor equipment performance and conduct preventative maintenance.
- Use mechanical, electronic, and software skills to repair equipment issues.
- Assist with equipment installations and engineering tests.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with Equipment Owners, Shift Engineers, and Technicians to resolve issues that impact yield or output.
- Drive improvements in area KPIs through automation and AI-enabled analytics.
- Foster a culture of Total Productive Maintenance by managing workstation health and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and update training materials, procedures, and assessor checklists.
- Safely handle chemicals and respond to safety alarms or events.
- Leverage methodologies like SPC and DOE to minimize downtime and improve process control.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree program, with a graduation date no earlier than September 2026.
- Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, electricity fundamentals, and electronic components.
- Understanding of mechanical, vacuum, gas delivery, and electrical systems, including the ability to interpret schematic diagrams.
- Experience with programming or data analysis using tools like Python, Java, Tableau, MATLAB, or Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams.
- Experience or interest in applying statistical process control, 8D problem solving, or Agentic AI workflows.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom operations is a plus.
