About the role#
As a Data Science Intern, you will work at the intersection of statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI agents to solve semiconductor manufacturing challenges. You will apply time-series analytics, change-point detection, and large language model (LLM) technologies to identify patterns in manufacturing data. Your work will help engineers make data-driven decisions.
What you'll do#
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques, including time-series analysis, clustering, and dimensionality reduction, to identify trends and anomalies in manufacturing data.
- Develop and evaluate AI agents and LLM-enabled workflows by integrating analysis tools, designing prompts, and assessing model performance.
- Extract, clean, and analyze data using SQL and Python to support engineering investigations.
- Build reproducible analytics, visualizations, and dashboards that provide actionable insights to engineering teams.
- Present technical findings, recommendations, and limitations to engineering partners while supporting continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience through coursework, research, internships, academic projects, or hackathons.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy) and basic SQL for data extraction.
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, such as hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, and PCA.
- Experience using AI technologies, LLMs, or generative AI platforms.
- Familiarity with tools like Scikit-learn, XGBoost, SHAP, or Plotly is a plus.
- Interest in time-series analysis, forecasting, or AI workflow orchestration frameworks like LangGraph.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site internship located in Richardson, Texas.
- The position is full-time and paid.
