About the role#
As an ATE Process Engineer Intern at our Boise site, you will work on process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives. You will collaborate with equipment teams and operations leaders to meet area metrics and optimize wafer output.
What you'll do#
- Complete all required safety training and follow safety policies.
- Maintain tool documentation and update reaction mechanisms.
- Identify and resolve issues related to yield, excursions, defects, or output loss.
- Use SPC, FDC, and 8D methodologies to improve tool availability and processes.
- Analyze data using engineering knowledge and visualization tools to support process decisions.
- Execute projects to optimize wafer processing and increase wafer outs.
- Update or create procedures to ensure alignment with area and global practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering or related degree program with a graduation date no earlier than September 2027.
- Understanding of SPC and Design of Experiments.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming tools such as Python or Java.
- Proficiency in visualization tools like Tableau, Matlab, or Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during Summer 2026 and 20 hours per week during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Experience with data collection, warehousing, and cleansing.
- Practical experience in data analytics and database querying.
- Intermediate knowledge of semiconductor Fab processes and equipment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
