About the role#
Michigan's Adventure offers internships for students interested in culinary arts, restaurant management, catering, and food safety. You will gain hands-on experience by working with food service leaders at our amusement park. This program is available for the winter and summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
Depending on your focus area, you will contribute to our daily operations in several ways:
- Culinary: Help with food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations. You will also assist with inventory management and maintaining sanitation standards.
- Catering: Support group functions, corporate outings, and special events. Tasks include event setup, service execution, and coordinating operations.
- Operations Management: Develop leadership skills by assisting with restaurant operations. You will help with staffing, scheduling, training new hires, and monitoring guest service initiatives.
- Safety & Sanitation: Assist with food safety inspections, sanitation audits, and compliance documentation. You will also perform temperature monitoring and help with safety training.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in a college or university.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
- You should be able to work well in a team environment.
- We look for a genuine interest in hospitality, culinary arts, or food service operations.
- You must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Location: Muskegon, Michigan.
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time internship.
- Academic credit may be available if applicable.
