About the role#
Michigan's Adventure offers Business Administration internships for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. These roles provide hands-on experience in office operations, guest services, and communications. Interns work within departments such as Maintenance, Park Operations, Revenue Operations, and the Waterpark.
What you'll do#
- Assist with supply purchasing, including creating and tracking purchase orders and reconciling invoices.
- Provide administrative support through data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Manage incoming phone calls and respond to guest inquiries via email.
- Support the Group Sales and Season Pass Office.
- Assist the Park Leadership Team with scheduling, event coordination, and meetings.
- Support the Communications Team with content creation and social media tasks.
- Review operational data, including revenue, labor, and costs, to identify trends and variances.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards.
- Prepare insights and summaries for senior management to support business decisions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Partner with park leaders to translate sales trends into operational recommendations.
- Handle daily paperwork, audit records, and manage associate scheduling and shift swaps.
- Track work orders and manage the distribution of uniforms, keys, and radios.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Current enrollment in a college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Hospitality, Tourism Management, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
