About the role#
Meta is seeking Research Scientist Interns to join our Language and Agents team. You will work on generative AI projects across various modalities including text, images, video, 3D, and audio. This role focuses on making fundamental advances in artificial intelligence to help machines better understand and interact with the world. Interns have the opportunity to develop core algorithms and apply their research at scale.
What you'll do#
- Develop new generative AI algorithms and systems using deep learning techniques.
- Improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of deployed algorithms.
- Conduct research to advance the technology of intelligent machines.
- Train generative models to learn the semantics of diverse data types.
- Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners to share progress and results.
- Disseminate research findings and contribute to product development when applicable.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, or a related technical field.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C, or Java.
- Experience building systems using machine learning or deep learning methods.
- Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
- Intent to return to your degree program after the internship.
- A track record of results, such as grants, patents, or first-authored publications at conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, or ACL.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks and setting up machine learning experiments.
- Ability to analyze complex, high-dimensionality data and solve analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
- Experience contributing to open source libraries or frameworks in computer vision.
- Experience working in a team environment and communicating across functions.

- Compensation: $7,650 to $12,667 per month.
