About the role#
Engineering Interns work with the Engineering team to gain practical, hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will focus on learning the fundamentals of manufacturing engineering through real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, development, and testing of engineering projects.
- Create and update drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
- Organize and maintain project documentation and data.
- Identify and optimize a process to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and optimize material usage.
- Analyze quality control processes to identify common defects, find root causes, and propose solutions.
- Present your project outcomes to leadership.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Prior experience with prototyping, testing, or CAD software.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in Urbana, Ohio.
- This position follows a rolling term.
