About the role#
McKim & Creed is seeking an Electrical Engineering student for a summer internship in our Pittsburgh office. This position is for Summer 2027. You will join our Building Energy Infrastructure team to gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Work under the supervision of a senior engineer or project manager.
- Collaborate with designers and technicians on various projects.
- Produce design and construction drawings for electrical, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems.
- Function as a member of a multi-discipline project team.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science program in Architectural Engineering (with an electrical focus) or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment when solving technical and personnel-related assignments.
- A valid driver's license.
- Revit experience is preferred.
- Previous design experience is preferred.
