About the role#
As an Operations Supervisor Intern, you will support the daily execution of operational plans and strategies within McKesson Distribution. This role focuses on driving a culture of excellence by allocating resources, managing team communication, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and financial key performance indicators.
What you'll do#
- Exhibit behaviors that support the McKesson Culture of Excellence and iCare values.
- Promote a patient-first service vision throughout the facility.
- Motivate and inspire your team to meet accountabilities regarding safety, quality, and performance targets.
- Identify and implement new methods to drive growth and profitability.
- Use Lean Six Sigma methodology to optimize operational processes.
- Facilitate employee development through feedback, coaching, and effective labor relations strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
