About the role#
Maven Securities offers a 9-week summer internship in Chicago for students interested in options market making. This program combines classroom-based training with practical, desk-based work. You will learn from in-house experts, participate in trading simulations, and receive ongoing feedback to help you develop your skills. Successful interns may be considered for a full-time Graduate Trader role after the program.
What you'll do#
- Learn the foundations of options market making, including pricing, risk, and probability.
- Apply your learning through trading simulations and mock trading sessions.
- Gain exposure to the tools, systems, and environments used by our Traders.
- Progress through a structured program with clear learning milestones.
- Receive ongoing feedback and check-ins from the Trading and Emerging Talent teams.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a penultimate year undergraduate or master’s student.
- You have strong numeracy skills and a solid grasp of probability and statistics.
- You have a genuine interest in financial markets.
- You are willing to adopt emerging AI technologies.
- Academic background in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics is preferred.
