About the role#
Mauldin & Jenkins is hiring an Administrative Accounting Intern for our Greenville office. This internship provides exposure to audit, management services, and tax preparation. You will work on-site and support our administrative team while gaining practical experience in the accounting field.
What you'll do#
- Manage the front desk by greeting clients, answering phones, faxing documents, and posting mail.
- Handle post office deliveries and pickups.
- Sort, scan, and upload documents into our software systems.
- Assist the small business department with bookkeeping tasks.
- Support the tax department with various tax-related assignments.
- Help the audit department with testing and audit-related tasks.
- Assist with financial statement and report processing.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the office manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college with a major or concentration in accounting.
- Completion of 1-2 years of accounting studies.
- Progress toward CPA exam hours.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to accuracy and detail.
- A flexible, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Consistent punctuality and dependability.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: Interns must provide their own housing and transportation. Overnight travel may be necessary.
